Each fall during Latino Heritage Month, film lovers of all ages gather in Ithaca for upstate New York’s premiere Latin American film festival: Cine con Cultura Latin@ American Film Festival.

2018 marks our fifth annual celebration of Latin American filmmakers from all over the continent, and we are so proud to announce our official festival selection for this year, which includes critically-acclaimed and award-winning films from seven different countries. Some are brand new, some are from a few years ago, and all of them provide a different glimpse into life throughout Latin America.

This year, the festival is expanding beyond the walls of Cinemapolis: ¡Culture Ithaca! is also teaming up with Ithaca College, the Multicultural Resource Center, and Cornell Cinema to host selected festival screenings.

Festival screenings will take place several times a week from Tuesday, September 18th, 2018 through Sunday, October 14th, 2018. There will be a total of 8 films shown this year with a wide ranging selection of feature-length films and documentaries. We are also planning other related events for festival-goers this year, including a Q&A with filmmaker Carlos Rossini on October 11 at 4:30pm at Cornell Cinema.
