Fool’s Day Flicks Marathon

Fool’s Day Flicks
a full day of comedians and comedy!
Saturday, April 1, 2017
sponsored by C.S.P. Management

Join us for the 1st Annual Fool’s Day Flicks Marathon, featuring great films of and about comedians. PLUS the night wraps up with some LIVE stand up comedy, courtesy of our friends from Groundhog Comedy.

Regular ticket prices will apply to individual screenings, but comedy fans looking to go the distance can get a Marathoner tag for $26. Those wearing their tag will gain entry to all four screenings and the live stand-up show. Tags available at the box office beginning Wednesday, March 29th.

This year’s line up:

2 pm: Gilda LIVE – A filmed version of the Broadway show starring comedienne Gilda Radner, complete with the characters she made famous on the TV show “Saturday Night Live.” Directed by Mike Nichols!

4 pm: Richard Pryor: LIVE on the Sunset Strip – One of comedian Richard Pryor’s live performances (at the Sunset Strip, obviously) caught on film. This classic from 1982 showcases everything that made Pryor one of the all-time greats.

6 pm: The Aristocrats – Comedy veterans and co-creators Penn Jillette and Paul Provenza capitalize on their insider status and invite over 100 of their closest friends–who happen to be some of the biggest names in entertainment, from George Carlin, Whoopi Goldberg and Drew Carey to Gilbert Gottfried, Bob Saget, Paul Reiser and Sarah Silverman–to reminisce, analyze, deconstruct and deliver their own versions of the world’s dirtiest joke, an old burlesque too extreme to be performed in public, called “The Aristocrats.”

8 pm: Dying Laughing – A new documentary that focuses on the craft, creative process and complicated lives of stand-up comedians told from the perspective many of the top comedians of our time – including Jerry Seinfeld, Chris Rock, Kevin Hart, Sarah Silverman, Jamie Foxx, Amy Schumer and the late Gary Shandling.

10 pm: Groundhog Comedy presents LIVE stand up at Casita del Polaris.

The 1st Annual Fool’s Day Flicks Marathon is made possible through generous support from C.S.P. Management.
