League of Women Voters Presents Film on Gun Violence

League of Women Voters of Tompkins County presents

FREE FILM SCREENING – Monday, October 24th at 7 pm

The Robert Greenwald film Making a Killing: Guns, Greed and the NRA features personal stories from people who have been affected by gun violence including unintentional shootings, domestic violence, suicides, mass shootings and gun trafficking. It exposes the profit of gun companies and the role of the National Rifle Association. It explores ways that we can reduce gun violence in our communities.

barbaraliftonBarbara Lifton, NYS Assembly Representative for District 125, will speak briefly after the film to clarify current gun regulations in New York State and to share any new initiatives aimed at reducingĀ gun violence. She welcomes questions from the audience.
