Thanks to the conversion to digital cinema and the recent installation of a new system of accessibility devices, Cinemapolis is now proud to offer additional assistive technology for our patrons with hearing and visual impairments.
Since opening our doors in at the “new” Cinemapolis is 2009, we’ve offered assistive listening devices for all of our screenings. Many films are now delivered to the theater with special encoding that allows us to expand those offerings to include descriptive narration for the visually impaired and in-seat closed captioning. Wireless headphones and captioning devices can be checked-out at the concession stand prior to the start of each screening.
Currently, only select films take advantage of the technology, so please refer to our listings here at Cinemapolis.org for details.
