Notre Dame High School presents Outdoor Film Fest

WILD & SCENIC ENVIRONMENTAL FILM FESTIVAL
Sunday, December 3 at 2 pm
General Admission – $12 • Students/Seniors – $10
Proceeds Benefit Notre Dame High School’s Environmental Mission/Expedition to Mexico City

The Wild & Scenic Film Festival leaves you feeling INSPIRED and MOTIVATED to go out and make a difference in your community and the world. You’ll experience the adrenaline of the wildest rivers, climbing the highest peaks and trekking across the globe with adventure films from around the world. You’ll explore the issues and movements with leading environmental activists and professionals, filmmakers and celebrities. And you’ll celebrate the natural and human world in all its diversity.

Proceeds from this screening will help send a group of students and teachers from Notre Dame High School in Elmira, NY on an Environmental Mission/Expedition to Mexico City’s ancient wetlands of Xochimilco through EarthWatch. These ancient chinampas or floating gardens are in peril due to pollution, climate change and recent earthquakes. The students will get the opportunity to see their Science curricula come to life while collecting much needed scientific data. We will learn from and help farmers in sustainable farming methods.
