Prospect Park Alliance:
40 Years of Restoring Brooklyn’s Olmsted Masterwork

A Benefit for Stewart Park
Thursday, March 9, 7:30 pm at Cinemapolis
The Ithaca Native Landscape Symposium is sponsoring a benefit presentation by Prospect Park Alliance Vice-President and Landscape Architect Christian Zimmerman, FASLA, about the restoration of Prospect Park. This romantic 19th Century public park located Brooklyn was designed by renowned landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted (designer of Central Park and hundreds of other urban parks). Christian will be in Ithaca presenting two Prospect Park landscape restoration projects to more than 125 landscape architects and professionals at the 9th annual Ithaca Native Landscape Symposium on March 10 and 11. He has kindly agreed to present an illustrated overview of the Prospect Park Alliance’s 40 year park restoration effort, both as a benefit for Friends of Stewart Park and to inform our efforts to Revitalize Stewart Park for its 2021 Centennial Celebration.
